A trip to Disneyland!

We traveled off to sunny California for spring break. We all had a wonderful time, but the kids by far had a magical time. I think our most fun at Disneyland was hunting down the characters and getting those autographs and pictures. One day we opened and closed the park, 12 hours later we were all exhausted, but Dawson and Ava did sooooo good! So without further hesitation...here are some pictures!!

so that is just a few of the hundreds of pictures I took!

Oye busy busy

Today:

1. got up and showered (got dressed) grabbed coffee (must have before anything else, lol)
2. made cream of wheat for Dawson, found the missing Christ is Born dvd for Dawson to return to the library, (we did a happy dance), got Dawson off to school with dad.
3. Ava rose from her slumber, brought her crackers and cheese for breakfast, and settled her in for Alvin and the Chipmunks movie.
4. proceed on to check email, email Anne (we miss you), check stores
5. work on gymnastics section rep stuff! Almost done
6. sign guestbook at Jackson's caring bridge site, share some scripture and love and support for the little guy who is fighting cancer.

What is to come
1. get Ava ready for school
2. go coach gymnastics at Glencoe
3. come back home, go coach club gymnastics
4. come home, tuck kids in, love my husband, and chase my pillow!

Not to bad of a day ahead....I think I can handle it

I suppose in there I gotta get some designing done...off to work!

Upon creating this kit and more, this album with Melissa, and after running it by her, I decided to put to work something I had wanted to design for a very long time...A Digital Children's book! So taking our album pages that we designed together and my desire to write a children's book, I was able to whip a clever little story about sweetness called, You Are So Sweet by Danielle Engebretson and Illustrated by Danielle Engebretson and Melissa Bennett. It was so fun to make, let me give you a look and of course it is 30% off and of course you can get it HERE!

OH gosh I didn't even talk about my crazy life, well that is for another day...I did have a pretty bad morning, I found out my boss as a dental hygienist for many years had a tragedy happen to his family and I ask for your prayers as they enter into this living hell they are about to journey into. His little grandson, 1 or 2 grandchildren, was diagnosed with a stage 4 cancer, he is 1 and 1/2, please if you pray, pray for him! He is going to need a miracle. I just know God has a plan and I praise Him for He is good, and I know that He holds that family in the palm of His strong hand tonight, but extra prayers are always needed in such times as these! Thanks!

wow, what a neglectful blogger

....I mean honestly, I have got to get busy with this blogging, holy smoke how pathetic am I, well, busy busy busy mom, designer, bible studier, gymnastics coach, yadayada, and viola, that is what you get, one crazy lady who doesn't have time to blog...so I thought I better stop in and say hey, I am not dead, I am here, with baseball for my son Dawson and gymnastics for my daughter Ava, I have been runnin like a chicken with half a head, if that is possible....

So, highlights of the summer, vacation on Upper Whitefish Lake in Northern Minnesota, Ava's vast improvement in gymnastics advancing two levels in her club....my sons completely successful baseball season...coming in as the runner up team for the season losing only two games with his stacked little talented baseball team.....the olympics start today, I am home with my kids now, I have so many things to thank the Lord for, He is ever blessing my life day after day, Thank you Jesus, you ROCK!!

So, alot has changed in my design life....I am selling officially at Digital Freebies forever it seems now, The Digi Chick (huge honor) to this seasoned well known store, Aimee Asher (mostly my own hand drawn graphics and clipart sets) and Memory Mixer, a extension of Lasting Impressions, a place to create your digital albums and order them printed to arrive in your mailbox and pretty and finished up nicely (my products releasing next week there, my first two kits)....recently I was asked to design at Get Digi With It for Amanda Dykan and Kristy Krouse, that is way to exciting as they are bringing digital scrapbooking into a place as never seen before with some of the best of the best from the traditional scrapbooking world, ie Karen Foster, Daisy D, Lasting Impressions, oh there are so many you must just go check it out...I think I have enough stores but being my load is light at two of them, I am taking this opportunity on, so look for exclusive designs there, as well as Aimee Asher and Memory Mixer and The Digi Chick, you have to check them all out, as you don't want to miss out on anything and the designs that are released at these stores will be exclusive, which I guess Digital Freebies will be exclusive as well, since the rest of my stores are too...lol...

What is to come, well, I am feature designer for Ready Set Create Magazine at The Digi Chick's October/November issue available in the store, and I will have a really nice freebie in there you don't want to miss out on...and I have the Club Kit spot with Karen Lewis Designs at Digital Freebies in October, where will release to you a Halloween kit that will knock your socks off...so be sure to check these outs...you don't want to miss out on the fun....

Saddened...

by the loss of a young girl from our hometown, Jessica Weishair, was killed in a bus crash returning with her high school band on Saturday morning. Please pray for this tragedy! Here's a link to updates and info about the tragedy. There were others injured critically in the accident, please lift them in prayer as they continue to recover. May God's mighty and powerful hand be on all those involved in this sad and tragic event. Here's that link! Pelican Rapids

How very sad, my poor blog!!! But a Freebie for you!

so seriously, how pathetic am I, Nov. 9th since my last blog??? How bad can I get already! All I can say is being a head gymnastics coach is a busy busy job and just trying to manage home and work three days a week and a team full of teenagers is a blessing and well, it is a blessing, but dang, I am busy! Needless to say, I am now a proud member of the design team at Purple Paper Flowers! Exciting times and I am still designing at Digital Freebies as well! So without further hesitation, I have to get you updated on products out and sales! Hola everyone.....I have about 2 mins. to post this blog! Uggg...I am sorry (once again) for my pathetic absence in getting to my blog to post freebies and news, no excuse I am just plain old poor at posting. Well, actually, I have been a tad bit busy, lol. I just accepted the position of Head gymnastics coach at Glencoe Silver Lake MN high school for their JV and Varsity girls gymnastics team, so cool, Dawson started hockey, Ava gymnastics and I have been cleaning teeth, and designing!! Very very cool stuff coming out and just released. I have goodies all over the place. But, First Joli at ScrapProfessor has been wonderful and has featured me as a November featured designer at her wonderful site. She created a beautiful newsletter with my interview and my products plus my freebie download. She is a doll, Thank you Joli for this opportunity. You are so great! What a wonderful Friday!

I have been bad and again, haven't blogged, shame on me! We have company last night and today. Our Son Matt and his girlfriend Trish and their sweet son, my grandson, Bodi came to visit. It is horrible to say, but I haven't seen him since December. I was feeling so sad about this for the longest time, but let me tell ya, when that little angel walked through my door and I got down to scoopy him up, he greeted me with a big smile, hug and a big kiss on the lips, that just wiped away all the time that had passed. It was like yesterday I saw him. He is so much fun and will be two in December. I just had it reiterated how amazing my love for him, my grandchild is. Something different than the kids, just an absolute and total joyfulness and agape love. He has a huge room in my heart just for him! I played with him and got loads of kisses throughout the night and I put him to sleep and he was so cuddly and so sweet, and kept touching my eyes, and looking at me. He has some of the most fun little qualities any little toddler could have. I just adore him and love him to pieces and consider myself so blessed to have him, Matt and Trish in my life! Today is Matt's birthday, he is out pheasant hunting with his dad right now and I am sure they are having a wonderful time. They went with a group of men from church, including Pastor Rick. They were meeting this Am for coffee, juice, and donuts and then heading out for their hunt. The pheasant count has been tremendous in Minnesota, so I am looking forward to having pheasant for lunch or dinner tonight! I was really excited to have Matt come and go hunting with his dad on his birthday, with a wonderful group of christian men, and our pastor, as I think this will be a huge blessing for him today...God works in those oh so mysterious ways, and it is my prayer, that this day touches his heart in places that have never been touched before!

Ok, so that is my good family news, Praise the Lord! I have new designs coming out soon.....I am just waiting a tad for news and then will release them as necessary depending on that news. A few weeks back, I released a little kit called Commotion on the Ocean over at Digital Freebies. It is such a cool kit! It is geared toward reaching for goals and aspirations and achieving those goals. It is a great kit that can be used for boys and girls and just about anything.

Big Opps and apology!!

my poor neglected blog

so, it has been neglected.....BAD! Well, what has been going on in my life! Ummmm.....major job changes on the horizon, long drawn out story which I won't get into....offer to coach gymnastics, WOOT! for the high school team in the neighboring town 14 miles away......new digistores to my resume, WOOT WOOT!!!!

So, that is the changes on the "job" front! I was sick for 14 days....oh my gosh, bad sinus infection, three antibiotics later, and 10 days in bed, I finally got better, still a little cough, but I can deal with that. LOL

Ok, so what else can I tell ya! We went to this incredible Christian festival and saw awesome Christian groups perform. We took Dawson and Ava and rocked it out praisin the Lord, to GO FISH...here is some fun pics....

It most definitely was a blessed event and the night closed with Third Day and my kids fell asleep before them, Dawson was sad, he really wanted to see them...the kids crashed out in the lawn chairs, lol.....But, it was cool because my hubby and I got in on some amazing praise and worship together....something we don't get to do that often, since I am always leading worship on the stage at church!

I was a personal attendant in my good friend RoseAnne's wedding...it was a great day! I have a pic here of me and my hubbabubba hot hubby!!

So, you are probably wondering if this is an excuse for my neglect, truth is there is no excuse, I need to blog everyday.

So, today I am home off of work (work changes) and I am working like a dog to get new products out.

Sara Ellis and I are releasing a Collab this week that will be sure to PUNK you out! Jessica Gorny and I are releasing a Collab this week. It is going to be called Simply Me and will cater to your spa scrapbooking needs, lol. Release will be by weeks end and it will be released at One of a Kind Scrapz.

I am releasing a huge huge huge surprise, not just because it is such a fun surprise, but it is a HUGE surprise and it took me all of August to create it...so get over to my stores in the next few days to see what it is, there are some of the funkiest unique elements in this new kit release, I know your all just going to love it! I love it already, lol...lets just say....moms will love it!!

I had so much fun creating my contribution for this month. Through research, I found out alot about this disease Cystic Fibrosis. Boy, does it effect alot of people and they need our help to keep making progress at finding better treatments and one day a cure. I was moved to tears by this one sweet story. Mary Wiess, a mother of 3 boys with Cystic Fibrosis, was on the phone one day, when her little Richard came in and said, "I know what you are working on mama", and she said "oh yea, what is it I am working on" and he said, "that sixty five roses stuff" not knowing how to say cystic fibrosis, and not knowing he had the disease because he was still to little to understand, Richard called it 65 Roses and today that stands as the national theme for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation! What a wonderful story! That inspired my kit contribution!

Firt Kids say the darndest things: Let me set the scene:

My hubby and I are in the living room sitting on the couch, Dean watching the hunting channel and I next to him on my laptop. Dawson my 7 year old is on the floor playing with his transformers:

Me (to my DH): "I am so tired"

Dean (my DH) (to me): "did you not sleep well last night?"

Me (to my DH): "No, I am getting my "you know what"" (little ears in the room code words, lol)

Then.....my son pipes in

Dawson (DS) "You mean your getting your period!!!"

Enough said on that one!!!

Me (reading, stopped and asked Ava) "how do we get to heaven Ava?"

Ava (pausing for a moment staring off into space, thinking, then answers with much joy) "WE DRIVE"

hehehe, I laughed so hard, I thought I might pee my pants, but then that comes easy since my bladder has been ruined from pregnancy, lol..

Can anyone say Bacteria, Birthday Presents, and a New Freebie

Ok, it is official, I hate giving titles to my blog, so you get a caption of what is included in the post, that is as good as I can do, but at least it leaves a element of curiosity...lol

Since Wed at 11 PM I have been dealing with this, here is my story....*caution, could gross you out*

ok, so Thursday night at about 5 pm, my eye started producing yellow guck, and I thought "oh great, I have pink eye", the kids had it over the last two weeks! Well, by midnight I was pretty much spent, I had a film over my eye couldn't see anymore and had to go to bed immediately. I was so irritated, and my kids eyedrops are at daycare, forgot them there, so couldn't even use those, well so.....3 Am I wake up to a face *when I mean face I mean nose cheeks and eye* full of crusty yellow discharge guck, my eye had been draining, seriously freaked me out! So, I told Dean I was going to take a bath, and I had so much pressure and throbbing there I could have just cried, well, I cleaned it up only to find out the large amounts of crust that I thought were glueing my eye shut, were not the reason I couldn't open my eye and that is when it hit me, my eye was swollen shut, not a peep hole in site, not even with effort. So, went downstairs and sat in the porch until the sun came up doing a warm wash cloth on it, and then I finally went to bed at 6 AM, well woke at 10 AM and no better, so decided to go into urgent care.....the Dr there felt it was not acute conjungtivitis or pink eye as we all know it too well, but rather some nasty other bacteria that had invaded my precious eye and was causing major trouble and she prescribed me oral and eyedrop antibiotics. Well, with effort, I can open a little but it takes alot of effort but as the day has gone on and eyedrops every two hours, I have a peep hole, YaY! Now I can design! I work as a dental hygienist and I have very good personal protective equipment and I am very careful at work, wear safety glasses, gloves, mask, ya name it. I do however, use instruments that produce aerosols that can spray up to six feet from the chair, and my patients in the last two weeks have been hard, and when I say hard, I mean plaque and calculus everywhere, I swear they all waited to come in at the same time over the last two weeks with their messy mouths, like they planned it over the phone or something, and I don't normally talk this way about my work, I don't discuss it at all, but let me tell ya my stress level has been through the roof. So, it wouldn't surprise me if one of the 500+ normal flora free floating bacteria in every mouth I saw in the last two weeks, got in my eye and thus the infection. I mean the glasses work, but some microscopic stuff has got to get around them. Here is what is weird, I am a victim of Migraines I have been for 5 years now, I always, always always, have them start on the right side of my face with the little light show in my right eye and then I am bound to bed for 24 hours and usually throw up! ICK, they suck, and meds only take the edge off. Well, this past Wed night about 11 PM I got a migraine but much different from my very other consistent migraines as this one manifested on the left side right behind my left eye, it was the worst I have ever had, threw up three times and wanted to die, spent all day Thursday in bed, however once I was on the road to getting a little better, I still had my laptop in bed, God forbid I am off it even with a migraine, but for most of it I couldn't move. Then, the next day Friday, which was yesterday, I get this nasty eye infection in my left eye, I just have to wonder, if this ugly bacteria is what triggered my migraine and left me debilitated for 24+ hours and now this, UGGG...I just had to vent.So I know that was probably way too much info for some of you, but I am a details girl! LOL

Ok, so here is a pic of the eye, the first is the shut position which at this point is the comfy position, and the second is a pic with a slight peep hole with much much effort in opening! I am so ugly here no makeup and it couldn't get worse with my friend Bacteria present!

So I thought I would liven this place up a bit with a story of my week from the deep depths of the pit! LOL

Ok, onto a more exciting note...did you know it is OAKS month long birthday party, hehehe, as if you didn't holy smoke, I have been posting about it and it is all over the digiworld....lol...so this is it and this weekend we have Birthday Presents, which are *grab bags* if you will full of surprises for $2. Random Family Pictures, New Dollar Deals at my Store....and guess what??? FREEBIE Botanical Oasis elements!!!

That's right! It has been a crazy couple of weeks, well should I say month, LOL. We went on Vacation to the Lake up North and between getting back from Vacation and this weeks vacation bible school, *note to self, get those pics downloaded and shared* and my design schedule, which has been crazy because we have been celebrating a birthday at our store for the whole month of July!!! So....cool did you know that...every week, something new...but I will tell you about that later...we have sale going this weekend through tomorrow and all next week that will knock your socks off! So, hang tight I will tell you all about it! First, can I just say, I absolutely love our daughter Anne....she is 24 beautiful, smart, funny, talented, and the list goes on and on...and she is an Airmen in the United States Air Force! Isn't that cool?? We are so proud of her for her huge accomplishments! She is one of a kind a true treasure and she lives in Italy! Doesn't she stink?? I want to live in Italy! LOL. Seriously, she is having so much fun, she has been to Pesa, Spain, Croatia, England, I mean the girl is just a travelin fool! I am so wishing I was there with her to experience all the cool things she has! She is a med tech for the USAF and plans to be a doctor of dermatology, last I checked anyway, LOL. I created a LO with her pics from England and I played with a couple pics of her in Spain and in Pesa at the leaning tower!! Heres a look! She is so beautiful, get ready, she will take your breath away...she should be a model! She is tall too!

My very goodlooking hubby here, I could just eat him up he is soooo hot, and this is on vacation at Leech Lake and below my sweet boy Dawson with his very small sand pile with the grand ole flag on Independence Day! Love this little man so much! Below him is ya, it's me and the little kids...at the parade on the 4th! It was hot, we were glad to get to the beach and get in the water! The two below me and the kiddos are my sweet girl Ava..she is so funny and her hair has turned totally blonde with the sunshine! She was a brunette baby with a tish of auburn and then she was more auburn and now she is blonde...she looks so much like her sister Anne it is crazy!!

and....here is my grandson...Bodi! sweet boy! LOL He is 1 and 1/2 and totally cute and I don't see him like I want to, but he lives far away and we NEED to see him, I need to kiss him!

and here is our son Matt and his sweet Trish, we miss them so much and love them even more! Matt is 26 and they live 3 hours from us on a lake and they are just such huge blessings in our life!

...and you gotta see my sweet girl Alyssa she is 20, and she lives with us....she is my personal chef..I don't cook and will be the first to admit it! LOL anyway, Alyssa is HOT! LOL...she is beautiful and fun and we love her being here, so do the kids! She is a daycare assistant at a daycare center just blocks from our house! She is a gift!!

So that is our family! They are true gifts, I will share pics often and VBS pics will be here soon!

FREEBIE ALERT and well, what can I say I have been meaning to blog, but....

I have been so busy and I will show you why in a minute! First let me share, that after a 76 day battle for life in the hospital at the age of 68 my aunt Norma Jean Ware passed away of a cardiac event. She had open heart surgery which is what started off this long journey and the surgery had complications and after many other complications with her colon and a hernia and septicemia post surgery, she lost the battle to a very sudden cardiac event, and she had many set backs but was well on her way to the road of recovery. We are very saddened by this news. after 76 days of prayer, the battle is over for her and thankfully she is resting quietly in the arms of our heavenly father! Ok, so on a different note, did I mention that it was my daughter Ava's birthday yesterday and she turned 4...heres a pick of the squirt. Here favorite birthday present, MP3 player she loves to sing and she sings really LOUD with it on, she is so funny.

I had to blog about Naomi our Havanese..she is getting so big and she is so smart, I can't hardly get over it...here she is!

and this is her sister Penny and she is unbelievably cute..

I can't help it..I have been so busy! I picked up my baby puppy on Friday...check out this sweet pea...

Ok, so after church, Ava was in the mood for modeling, LOL...sooooo....without further hesistation....

She was so funny, I told her to give me a pouty face and well you see, her best attempts, not too bad, LOL....she is such a sweetie!

I should also show you a picture of my sweet Dawson with my incredibly wonderful and awesome husband Dean...since I am bragging up my daughter and my dog, LOL

So, the dress, oh the dress....I bought Ava the dress she is wearing in those pics up there at gymboree, our favorite store ever....it is the cutest, we got two dresses, I could have bought everything in both lines, but I would have gone broke and I just bought this expensive dog so I had to compromise!

I thought it would be fun to make a red hatters kit. I have this wonderful patient...who inspired me. She lives life full and is a red hatter and her stories of the time her and her hatters spend together cracks me up..she inspires me so much and I only hope that when I am in my 60's and have gone through what she has in her life, that I can live like she does and inspire someone that way she has me...so this kit I dedicate to her! (sorry can't share her name, patient/provider confidentiality :O))

Ok, so I am sitting here in my garage...selling away at my city wide garage sale...so pumped, already made $900...wooohooo! It is freeeezing cold here for goodness sake, am I crazy or what! So, on a more exciting note...tomorrow is National Scrapbook Day and I have started to celebrate early! I thought I would let you all know what my deal is! My First Post....

Ok, so my first post...here goes...LOL...I am a brand new designer with so much to learn...I am self taught (so far) LOL...and I love what I am learning. I have officially finished my first kit. Now, to be able to find a place to sell it?? My first adventure....applying for a creative design team! I am in the works of putting together my first application for Sweet Shoppe Designs..fingers crossed...I so pray they will give me a chance! :O)

So, here is my first layout with my first kit....the kit is called Shabby Fruit (inpsired by scripture from the Word of God, Galatians 5:22-23) and this layout is about me and is the layout I am submitting with my application!
